If you enjoy Christmas and love giving gifts to others...you are in for a real treat! I'm thrilled about being able to participate in this huge giveaway that is not only on my blog (which is offering 7 handmade gifts from 6 shops on Etsy!) but also is connected to over 50 other bloggers who are giving away hundreds of different prizes!
A Crafter's Dream Christmas Giveaway -- hosted by
My Merry Messy Life,
Earning-My-Cape, and
Tutus & Tea Parties -- has a Christmas, crafting, and supporting small business theme! Each blogger is offering her/his own giveaway worth $25 or more going on now through Sunday, November 4, 2012.
With Christmas just around the corner, this is the time to begin crafting gifts for family and friends. Some of the blogs in the giveaway group are giving away some wonderful crafting supplies to help winners create their own meaningful and beautiful gifts.
Although making something handmade is great, sometimes we just don't have the time or know-how to make crafts ourselves. A Crafter's Dream Christmas Giveaway is a great opportunity to support small businesses and shops who offer handmade items!
Some of the blogs in our giveaway group (like Harvest Moon by Hand) are highlighting small businesses and also offering giveaway items from them. Even if you don't win the giveaway, we hope that you will keep these small businesses in mind when shopping for that perfect gift for your special someone.
Through the giveaway on Harvest Moon by Hand's blog, there will be two winners.

Here's more information about the prizes:
=> A set of window stars from Harvest Moon by Hand in Christmas colors - red, green, and white (Winner #2/Value $35)
This trio of Waldorf-inspired window stars will brighten your windows this holiday season. If you place your stars in a sunny window, the special paper has a stained glass glowing effect that’s quite pretty.
The stars are made by hand-folding small squares of paper, overlaying the folded paper, and then gluing them together to create different patterns.
The stars are folded multiple times per point. For example, the white star is folded 12 times per point (with 16 points that's 192 times to make this star). They range in size from approximately 5 inches (red star) to 8 inches (green and white stars) in diameter.
=> Rainbow unicorn from Woolies (Winner #1/Value $35)
Rainbow is hand knit from 100% wool yarn. He is stuffed with clean, carded wool so he is super soft and squishy. He has a wonderful long rainbow mane and tail, which is securely attached. He is about 7" long, from nose to tail, and stands about 5 1/2" tall.
=> A set of window stars from Harvest Moon by Hand in Christmas colors - red, green, and white (Winner #1/Value $29)
This trio of Waldorf-inspired window stars are in three different patterns than those pictured above. As with the other stars, these will brighten your windows this Christmas. If you place your stars in a sunny window, the special translucent paper reveals the pattern when the sun shines through them.
The stars are made by hand-folding small squares of paper, overlaying the folded paper, and then gluing them together to create different patterns.
The stars are folded many times per point. For example, the green star is folded 14 times per point (with 8 points that's 112 times to make this star). They range in size: 8 inches (red star), 8 1/2 inches (white star) and 9 3/4 inches (green star) in diameter.
=> Earrings from EarlyBird Jewels (Winner #2/Value $25)
These beautiful pierced earrings are made from two Victorian flower findings, mother of pearl rosary beads, part of an old watch chain, freshwater pearls, and oxidized sterling findings. The earrings measure 3 1/4" long x 1/2" wide; and have their natural patina.
The jewelry components are pieces that were collected from various estate sales or auctions. All of EarlyBird Jewels' bracelets, necklaces, and earrings are recycled, re-purposed, and re-designed for a truly one-of-a-kind piece.
=> Brown Owl Necklace from LuDesigns Creations (Winner #2/Value $14)
This cute little cocoa brown ceramic owl has a wire-wrapped base and bail. It is hung on a sterling silver chain that is 24 inches long.
This is a great accent piece for fall; and would make a great gift for a friend or yourself.
=> Bookmark set from The Estranged Artist (Winner #1/Value $12)
This is a set of five Adventure Time Bookmarks. They can be in color or black-and-white. Each is a 7 " x 1.5 " handmade bookmark. The sketch is copied on either side and sealed to a stiff, sturdy paper.
The resulting bookmark is perfect for gifts or personal use.

=>
