A Crafter's Dream Group Giveaway - February 11-21

Harvest Moon by Hand is excited to be participating again in "A Crafter's Dream" giveaway event that will run from February 11-21, 2013.

The event, hosted by My Merry Messy Life, Earning My Cape, and Tutus and Tea Parties, is inviting bloggers to offer their own giveaway with a crafting, handcrafted, or small business theme worth $25+. BluApple Giveaway #giveaway

Harvest Moon by Hand is happy to share another giveaway with its readers. A Little Bit of Everything and BluApple have joined for another entry in the Holiday Gift guide.

This trio of Waldorf-inspired window stars will brighten your windows this holiday season. If you place your stars in a sunny window, the special paper has a stained glass glowing effect that’s quite pretty.

The stars are made by hand-folding small squares of paper, overlaying the folded paper, and then gluing them together to create different patterns.

The stars are folded multiple times per point. For example, the white star is folded 12 times per point (with 16 points that's 192 times to make this star). They range in size from approximately 5 inches (red star) to 8 inches (green and white stars) in diameter.

Rainbow is hand knit from 100% wool yarn. He is stuffed with clean, carded wool so he is super soft and squishy. He has a wonderful long rainbow mane and tail, which is securely attached. He is about 7" long, from nose to tail, and stands about 5 1/2" tall.

Before the holidays, Shabby Apple contacted me and asked if I wanted to offer readers a chance to win one of their dresses. I took a look at the many choices of beautiful dresses from Shabby Apple for women and children, and definitely wanted to do this! 

Both Sophia and Olivia were given dresses to wear so we could see what they are like.  Since it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find well-made, modest - yet stylish and beautiful - clothing for girls, tweens, and young women, my daughters and I were pleasantly surprised at how many choices are available from Shabby Apple that meet these criteria.

Olivia chose Ingrid the Second from the Little Girls Dresses from Shabby Apple. She said it is very comfortable, soft, and loves all the ruffles. Although she's use to wearing dresses that are a bit longer (mid-calf), she has enjoyed wearing this shorter one that falls around her knees. Whenever she wears the dress, she always receives compliments.

Sophia chose Sacred Falls from the Women's Dresses from Shabby Apple. We used the sizing guidelines on Shabby Apple's website, and the dress fit Sophia perfectly. The dresses are true-to-size which makes it easy to choose the appropriate size.

Sophia likes the details of the neckline and all the pleating in the front which makes it different from other dresses she has seen. Like Olivia's dress, this one also is very soft and comfortable to wear.
