Cool Colored Mandala - Art Every Day Month - Day 10

This evening I colored a mandala that was in Coloring Mandalas by Susanne F. Fincher. I'm not that happy with it, but it is what it is. Sometimes I've liked the results...and other times...well, the final image isn't what I envisioned.

When I ran an art camp for children many years ago I use to tell parents , "We focus on the the process, not the product."

Sometimes that's easier to say to someone else than it is to believe it myself. I always like a see a nice product when I'm done. This mandala isn't. Oh well.

I picked cooler colors to use today since it was a rather cold day (in the upper 30s).

It also snowed today for the first time this season. The flakes were not the fluffy kind where you can see each of the points. These snowflakes looked more like round snow - a snow-version of rain, but much lighter in weight. The snow melted when it touched the grass, but stayed on the roof for a bit of time before it melted.

It's always exciting to see the first snow of the season...no matter what type of snow it is.

These Mandala's are very cool. What a wonderful way to celebrate AEDM. I love Mandala work and it can be very soothing.
