DIY Essential Oil Blends

My first introduction to essential oils was when I worked at Aveda in the 1990s. I purchased pre-blended oils to use in a diffuser which - at the time - no one else I knew was doing.

In the early 2000s, I went to St. Croix Center for Healing Arts (which no longer exists unfortunately) and learned more about aromatherapy and how to blend essential oils. I learned to create custom blends based on what a person liked and needed. For over a decade now, I've enjoyed blending and using essential oils.

On Pinterest, I've pinned ideas for different blends. One of the pins that led to Everything Essential Oils which did a blend comparison between doTERRA and Young Living.

Essential Oil Blends
(Equivalent or similar blends offered by dōTERRA and Young Living)

From the list, I picked ones that I thought I would like based on essential oils that I've enjoyed smelling in the past. I wanted to be able to create these blends on my own, so I looked online for copycat recipes and came across this link from the Steven Anderson Family.

There were many recipes for blends that I wanted to try. Below are all the ones that I want to make at some point - once I have all the essential oils to make the blends.

Some of the comments on the original post where the link is from had some good points including this one:

The recipes given are for master blends. So you put all the oils in the recipe into a 5ml bottle, then use the appropriate amount of drops for your application. So if you are using a diffuser, make a master blend of the recipe, then use 4-6 drops of this blend in your diffuser, up to 15 drops in an inhaler, or 6 drops in a 10ml rollerbottle topped off with carrier oil of your choice.
