3 Meat Pizza Casserole.
There are 16 layers that make up this casserole.
It's well worth the effort of prepping and assembly.
This was definitely a hit! Although there are a handful of ingredients, there is some prep work involved with cooking the pasta, frying the sausage and onions, and cubing the ham. Other than that, it is simply following the order of layering the different ingredients.
It is a flavorful casserole and one that everyone enjoyed. I definitely will be making it again.
3 Meat Pizza Casserole
Ingredients:
1 lb bow tie pasta (Note: I used a combination of shells and rotini - the noodles I had on hand.)
1 lb mild pork sausage
1 large onion, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped garlic (Note: I used 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder.)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce (Note: the Ragu jars came in 24 ounces which was more than enough sauce.)
1 pound cubed cooked ham (Note: I used about half this amount.)
1/2-1 lb of sliced pepperoni (Note: I used about 1/4 pound.)
3 (8 ounce) bags of shredded mozzarella cheese
6 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
Cook pasta in boiling water until al denté. Cook sausage, onions, garlic powder, and oregano until the juices run clear. Drain the fat.
In a lightly greased 9" x 13" x 3" inch pan, pour a small amount of sauce to lightly coat bottom. (Note: I didn't have this size pan, so I used a standard 9"x13" pan and the casserole came to the top of the pan. This could easily be split into two smaller size pans, with one being used for dinner and the other being frozen for use at another time.)
Layer ingredients in the order listed below:
- 1st layer: 1/3 of the pasta, 1/3 remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, sausage and onions.
- 2nd layer: 1/2 of the remaining pasta, 1/2 remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, ham.
- 3rd layer: all remaining pasta, all remaining sauce, 1 bag of mozzarella cheese, 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese, all the pepperoni (completely covering the entire top with pepperoni).
Bake at 375°F for 40 minutes. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

I can not wait to try this. I just found Pepperoni on sale yesterday and bought a bunch also. I also seen in your in links that you have 3 more that I want to make. Meatballs (crockpot) breakfast casserole and stuffed pizza rolls. Yum
I just saved the recipe to my Pinterest board. Our son will think I walk on water when I make this!
