A Dream of Skydiving

What is one thing that you would do if you knew you couldn't fail? That's the question for today's Summer Blog Challenge.

One thing that I've wanted to do since I've been 13 years old is skydiving. What holds me back from doing this is not a fear that I couldn't do it...but a fear that the equipment would fail.

A CELEBRATIVE SKYDIVE

In the article Why Do People Skydive?, the author said, "...there is not a plane around that can give you the same view. What an awesome sight to view 360 degrees around you - the sky, the horizon, the incredible beauty of the world, right there for you to see with no obstructions. To feel you are a part of that sky."

Perhaps someday I'll do this...but at this time I'll simply enjoy pictures of people skydiving.

You are braver than I! I am pretty sure I could never jump out of a plane unless it was going down & I had to to save my life, lol! ;)

I'm afraid of heights and they'd have to throw me out of the plane by force. That would be a nightmare, not a dream. I can watch movies of being up there and agree that it is beautiful, but actually doing it--no thanks. ;)

HAHAH, no thanks, I won't skydive. WAY TO SCARY FOR ME. Maybe if you asked my younger self about 15 years ago, I would have given it a try. But I have too much to risk these days.

Sounds like logical thinking to me. Haha.

You're a brave soul! Lol. That was a nice way of putting it, though - the reason people like to skydive. For me, personally, 'feeling like a part of the sky' sounds absolutely terrifying.

Good luck! :D

I think skydiving sounds wonderful in concept, but like most, I would have to be thrown out of the airplane. Once out, I'd probably enjoy the flight. I've been in a hot air balloon, and you can get pretty much the same experience.
